Course Description:
This course, first in a two-part sequence, examines the life of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ through a chronological study of revelation, integrating Sīrah narrative with Qurʾānic context and historical analysis. Students explore how major events in the Prophet’s life correspond to stages of revelation and shaped the formation of the early Muslim community. Emphasis is placed on drawing practical, ethical, and civilizational lessons from the Sīrah for contemporary application, following the interpretive framework presented by Mohiuddin.

This class meets in person, and live attendance is required. Recorded audio will be provided only for excused absences. To obtain credit, students must complete all assigned coursework which may include written assignments, term papers, quizzes, and exams.
No Class Dates: Apr 7 (Spring Break)

Transcripts: This is a credit-bearing course. Final grades will be permanently recorded on your official student transcript.
Retake Policy: Students are permitted to retake this course in future semesters to improve their recorded grade.
